DeltaXML, a leader in developing innovative comparison and merging technologies, is seeking an experienced Sales Director to drive revenue growth and expand our market presence globally.
You will be responsible for achieving ambitious sales targets in the enterprise segment, leading a small go-to-market sales and marketing team with growth plans. You will play an active role in the overall go-to-market strategy design and developing strategic sales plans, deal creation / development / closing with a focus on winning new clients and footprint expansion in our existing installed base.
This position requires solid experience in enterprise sales in the document or content management markets regionally or globally with knowledge of vertical market use cases, a strong sense of the joint sales and marketing collaboration to drive a healthy sales pipeline, strong leadership skills, a proven track record of creating a positive culture, scaling sales teams and consistently meeting or over-achieving sales goals. This is a pivotal role for DeltaXML as we navigate new opportunities and explore new technologies.
Position is hybrid – working from home and ~6 days per month in our office in Malvern, Worcestershire and elsewhere as required by the role.
- Develop and Implement Sales Strategies to meet company targets for customer acquisition, revenue growth, and profitability.
- Team Leadership: Build, lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing go-to-market sales and marketing team. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
- Market Expansion: Identify new markets, customer segments, and growth opportunities, particularly within industries that rely on structured data comparison and management e.g., publishing, software development, and regulated industries such as financial services, aviation, etc.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on how DeltaXML’s solutions can address their challenges.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Track, analyse, and communicate key metrics to ensure the sales team’s performance is on target. Provide regular updates and forecasts to the management team.
- Partnership Development: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with complementary technology providers, system integrators, and other stakeholders to expand DeltaXML’s reach.
- Product and Market Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of DeltaXML’s products and services, staying informed of market trends and competitive offerings to position DeltaXML as a leader in its space.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product management, R&D and development teams to ensure alignment between sales strategies and product offerings. Provide customer feedback for product improvements.
- 5-7+ years of sales experience of enterprise software sales (on-prem and SaaS) with 2-3 years in sales management. Hunger to scout for and close new business and expand footprint within existing client business
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling a high-performance sales organisation, ideally with regional or global experience.
- Strong leadership with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards achieving ambitious goals.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and exploit new opportunities.
- Collaborative and cross-functional with a track record of partnering with marketing, product, and technical teams.
- Good understanding of content/data compare use cases, particularly within industries such as software development, publishing, or regulated industries such as financial services, aviation, etc.
- An understanding of XML/JSON or document comparison and version control technologies is an advantage.
- Proven ability to:
- Meet and exceed targets by driving the sales process from lead generation, deal identification, planning to close.
- Communicate, present and influence all levels of the organisation, including executive and C-level.
- Experience engaging with and selling to large multi-national organisations; ability to open conversations to explore business challenges where DeltaXML expertise can help solve now or with further development of products and services.
- Articulate the distinct aspects of products and position effectively against competitors.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and experience in sales forecasting.
- Experience working with CRM software (e.g., ZohoCRM) and sales automation tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- BA/BSc degree or equivalent
